  1. Walking sightseeing tour from Maidan to Bessarabka.

Walking down Horodeckogo street, we’ll come to the Maidan Nezalezhnosti. At this place there were the Lach Gates. In 1240 the Lach Gates became the main fortification where Batu Khan concentrated his main assault during the siege of Kiev. Nowadays, the Maidan is famous for its main scene of the “Orange revolution”. You’ll walk along Khreshchatyk street – the shortest street in Europe, but also one of the widest – at some places it is 130 meters wide. There is the Bessarabska Square at the southwest of Khreshchatyk. In XIX century there was a market where people could buy and sell vine, fruits, tobacco from Bessarabia. In 1910-1912 a big covered market was built, and now it’s the most famous and expensive market in Kiev.

It is one of the largest museums in Ukraine (over 300 thousand exhibits) centered on the now famous 62-meter tall Motherland statue, which has become one of the best recognized landmarks of Kiev. The memorial complex covers the area of 10 hectares on the hill, overlooking theDnipro River.

  1. Walking-bus sightseeing tour “Vrubel in Kiev”.

During the tour you’ll find out about the life of one of the most mystical Russian painters Mikhail Vrubel. The most important events of his life happened here. Kiev is considered to be the cradle of Vrubel’s painting style. You will visit the famous St. Cyril's Church, an important specimen of Kievan Rus' architecture of the 12th century, and combining elements of the 17th and 19th centuries. However, being largely Ukrainian Baroque on the outside, the church retains its original Kievan Rus' interior. St. Cyril's Monastery was founded in 1140 by Vsevolod Olgovich, the Kniaz' (prince) of Chernigov.

  1. Excursion to the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra –a famous historical and cultural reserve of Ukraine, it’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is a place of mass pilgrimage. Lavra is famous for its caves. There are also different museums on its territory: the museum of Jewelry, the useum of Decorative Arts, the museum of Miniatures etc.

  2. Walking sightseeing tour “Mysteries and secrets of Andriyivskyy Descent”:

The excursion starts at the Poshtova Square, where coaches with passengers and mail started from to different directions. You will see the building of the River station, which looks like a big ship. You’ll go up to the Upper Town by funicular. On Desiatynna street you’ll see a beautiful creation of Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli – the St. Andrew’s Church. You’ll walk on one of the brightest street in Europe – Andriyivskyy Descent, which is called French Montmartre. Here you can buy paintings of Ukrainian artists, works of Ukrainian musicians, Ukrainian souvenirs. There are interesting excursion sites here: Mikhail Bulgakov Museum, the “Museum of One Street”, Castle of Richard the Lionheart.

  1. ExcursiontourMezhyhiryastreasures”.

The Residence was founded in 1935. Until April 10, 1786, the space now occupied by the modern residence was inhabited by the Savior-Transfiguration Monastery, the establishment of which is attributed prior to the period of princely epoch in Kiev, which was liquidated by the Russian Imperial edict of Catherine the Great. A year later, the monastery was set on fire, supposedly on the order of the same Catherine the Great. At the end of the 19th century the monastery was restored as a female monastery called "Intercession of the Saints", but in 1923 was once again closed by the Bolsheviks. During 1923–1931 the monastery building was used by as a college for ceramic production. Mezhyhirya is also the former summer house of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union's leaders since 1935. During the occupation by Nazi Germany, it was a residence of the Reich Commissar Erich Koch. Former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovychlived in it from 2002 to 21 February 2014, when he abandoned the estate during the 2014 Ukrainian revolution. Now Mezhyhirya is a museum that displays the luxury of its former owner.

  1. Bus tour to the open museum “Pirogovo”

Museum was found at the outskirts of Kiev in 1976. Its territory was divided in sectors according to territorial and time principals. Pirogovo exhibition presents architecture of Ukrainian villages, routine life of peasants and Ukrainian national art. You simply move backward into the past: antique Ukrainian mazanka houses, chapels dated16-17century, windmills — all this pieces were collected in various regions of Ukraine, shipped to the museum and renovated.

  1. Walking tour “Parks of Kiev”

Mariyinsky Park is a park located in Pechersk neighborhood in front of the Supreme Council of Ukraine. The park is around 130 years old. It received its name from the nearby Mariyinsky Palace. Mariinsky Park was founded in 1874 near central entrance of the Palace and the money for its foundation were budgeted by the wife of the Alexander II of Russia Maria Alexandrovna (Marie of Hesse). Appearance of the park changed a lot since that time. For example, in the end of 19th century marble busts and sculptures were erected along the alley. In 1900 cast iron fountain was established and it is still there.

City Park is located between Khreshchaty Park and Mariinsky Park. Along with Volodymyr Hill, Khreshchaty Park, Mariinsky Park, Askold's Grave, and Park of the Eternal Glory, it creates one big elongated park zone along the right bank of the Dnipro river. The park has an area of 11.7 ha (29 acres). The main feature of the park is a sports venue, Lobanovsky Dynamo Stadium. It was established in 1743 by Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli as the Tsar's Park. In 1808–1878 by architect Somonov there were built café with a dance hall, gallery and balcony. In 1863 some French entrepreneur converted a portion of the park (known as the Rose Valley) into a recreational institution under a name Shato-de-Flyor.

Khreshchaty Park is a city park in Kiev located next to the European Square, on right bank slopes of the Dnipro river and along the Volodymyr Descent. It covers area of 11.8 ha (29 acres). It was a place of dances, orchestras. The first dirigible “Kiev” took to the sky from here.

  1. Excursion to the Chocolate House

You will visit Chocolate House, it is a two-storey high building. It was built in the style of the Venetian Renaissance by the order of Kiev merchant Semen Semenovich Mogilevtsev (1846-1917). The mansion was constructed by the famous architect Vladimir Nikolayev in 1890s. Chocolate House is one of the most mysterious mansions in our city. The building has been colored in the unusual way. The predominance of brown color gives the possibility to name the mansion as Chocolate House. You will be amazed with unusual murals and wooden inlay. There are windows with stained glass. Each room is decorated in its specific style. You will be amazed with French, Byzantine, Eastern, Art Noveau and Renaissance styles of decoration. Meanwhile the visitors are allowed only to three restored rooms. They are White Room, New Russian Room and Art Noveau Room.

Secret object of Chernobyl 2. Over-the-horizon Radar Station “DUGA-1”

Over-the-horizon Radar Station "DUGA-1" is one of the most famous objects of the former USSR. The arc was designed to alert about threats from the air (launch of intercontinental ballistic missiles). The signal transmitted by the station was reminiscent of a woodpecker knock. That is why it was also called "Russian Woodpecker."

Lunch is scheduled during the tour. Lunch is included in the price of a private tour.

For your safety during the tour you will undergo Radiological Control.
